BeLoved Asheville

WHAT THEY DO: The mission of BeLoved Asheville is to cultivate a transformational way of life rooted in community, creativity and equity that brings people from diverse backgrounds to use their voices, skills and unique gifts to create innovative solutions for some of the toughest challenges we face: racism and systemic inequities, food and housing security, poverty, and inequities in health care. Our projects include our BeLoved Village of deeply affordable micro homes; the first homeless street medic team in the nation; cultural organizing and racial healing projects via Proud to Be Brown, Asheville en Espanol and Asheville in Black; and rapid response/long-term relief during the COVID-19 pandemic.
