Friends of the Smokies

WHAT THEY DO: Friends of Great Smoky Mountains National Park assists the National Park Service in its mission to preserve and protect Great Smoky Mountains National Park by raising funds and public awareness, and providing volunteers for needed projects.

INCENTIVES

  • Donations $35 or more receive a one-year Friends of the Smokies membership, plus registration for one guided group hike.
  • Donations of $50 or more receive previous benefits, plus a koozie, a trail map and a flora/fauna pocket guide book.
  • Donations of $100 or more receive previous benefits plus a Friends of the Smokies silicone tumbler, water bottle and hat.
I support the Friends of the Smokies because of the education and maintenance programs they support about the history and preservation of the park with its structures and trails within. Through the education, preservation and maintenance programs, many generations to come will be able to visit and enjoy the park as we do today. It truly is a national treasure we enjoy right in our backyard.
