WHAT THEY DO: Meals on Wheels of Asheville & Buncombe County promotes the wellbeing of our senior neighbors through the weekday delivery of nutritious lunchtime meals and friendly visits. We serve as a safety net for these vulnerable seniors by helping alleviate hunger and isolation, while promoting their ongoing independence. We also provide pet food for our seniors’ animal companions and recently added a grocery shopping and delivery service. We envision a community where no plate is empty, no pantry bare and no senior feels alone.
