The Council on Aging of Buncombe County, Inc.

WHAT THEY DO: Our mission is to promote the dignity, independence and well-being of adults through service, education and advocacy. Each year, Council on Aging staff members answer thousands of calls and assist hundreds of individuals in accessing services and support. In 2018, we secured more than $2 million in benefits for older adults, which allowed them to purchase food and pay for heating and medications that they were otherwise unable to afford.

INCENTIVES

  • Donors giving $25 or more will receive a coupon for a handmade bar of soap at the Herbiary downtown and a 20% off coupon for Moose Cafe Asheville.
  • Donors who give $200 or more will have their name put on our donor tree.

MATCHES

  • An anonymous donor will match the first $1,000 in donations.

RAFFLES

  • Donors of $100 or more to Council on Aging of Buncombe County Inc. will be entered to win a weekend camping trip with a Jeep Renegade (some restrictions apply; please see coabc.org/Give!Local for additional details).
