Wild for Life

WHAT THEY DO: The primary missions of Wild for Life are avian rehabilitation and environmental education. Volunteer staff members provide care for injured and orphaned birds of prey and adult songbirds, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the wild. Wild for Life community outreach presentations, which include nonreleasable ambassador birds, engage and educate the public about the importance of native wildlife and global conservation. WFL is state and federally licensed.

I have known the founders of Wild for Life for 22 years. Wild for Life is dedicated to rehabilitating injured wildlife and returning many of them into the wild. They have given countless presentations over the years, and the ones given to schoolchildren are exceptional. They handle all the wildlife with amazing gentleness and care. The highlight of their work is watching a healed raptor soar off into the sky.
