Contest Terms

All contests are administrated by Mountain Xpress at 2 Wall Street, Asheville, NC, 28801
Employees of Mountain Xpress or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to win the competition.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter competitions and giveaways.
Donors using the Give!Local platform for giving during the contest periods (see details here) will be automatically entered in each contest. To enter without donating, mail or hand deliver a Give!Local donation form (located at the back of Give!Local print guides) with the contact information filled out, but no donation. To be entered in a contest, donation forms — whether mailed or hand-delivered — must be received by the contest closing date. Closing date for entry will be the last day of contest periods. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
Mountain Xpress reserves the right to cancel or amend competitions and these terms and conditions without notice, for any reason. Any changes to the competition will be posted in an appropriate place as soon as possible.
Mountain Xpress is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to anyone by a third party.
No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Winners will be chosen at random from all entries received and verified by Mountain Xpress.
Winners will be notified by email and/or letter as soon as possible after the closing date. If a winner cannot be contacted or the winner doesn’t respond or claim the prize within 24 hrs of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. Mountain Xpress will cease picking replacement winners and will not award a prize after no less than 2 and no more than 5 attempts to distribute a prize.
Mountain Xpress will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
Mountain Xpress’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by North Carolina law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of North Carolina.
Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current North Carolina data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. However, by agreeing to these Contest Terms, winners give Mountain Xpress permission to use his/her name and image in any publicity material.
