What They Do:

Since 1984, Asheville Humane Society has dedicated itself to ensuring every animal has the quality of life they deserve — a life worth living. Now, we go beyond our walls to help create a more humane community for pets and the people who love them. Through personalized adoptions, education opportunities, volunteering, fostering, emergency resources and cutting-edge care innovations, we are working to go above and beyond an animal shelter.

Donations will be matched dollar for dollar, up to a total of $5,000, in loving memory of Judith N. Watters.

Giving animals a new chance at life with a loving family is only the starting point for AHS. Their care extends beyond adoptions, reaching into our community to help pets and their families live better lives together. Partnering with AHS for over 25 years brings us joy in knowing their compassion and expertise will continue to grow and improve the lives of the pets and humans of Subieville.
