Friends of the WNC Nature Center

WHAT THEY DO: The WNC Nature Center connects people of all ages with the native plants and animals of the Southern Appalachians. The wild animals that call the Nature Center home have unique stories. Most have been imprinted or permanently injured. Others are endangered and part of a Species Survival Plan. Your donation to the Friends supports the animal habitats, education programs and conservation initiatives of the WNC Nature Center.

My daughter practically grew up at the WNC Nature Center. She was always there for summer camp, the snake beauty pageants, holiday events, and she was a member of the Young Naturalist program! Kate now works at an accredited zoo in Colorado. The WNC Nature Center and its staff did so much to nurture her love of animals and passion for conservation and education.
