What They Do:
Helping At Risk Kids (HARK) serves Buncombe County’s most vulnerable children and youths: those in court-ordered protective custody, kids aging out of the foster care system and youngsters without stable housing. We fund basic, emergency and child-specific enrichment needs as identified by social workers and school counselors.
Matches:
  • One generous donor will match the first $5,000 in donations.
  • Another generous donor also will match donations, up to $1,000 total.
Drawings:
  • Donors who give $100 or more will be entered into a drawing to win a Trader Joe’s gift basket.
  • Those who donate $100 or more will be entered into a drawing to win lunch and a wine tasting for eight from Metro Wines.
