WHAT THEY DO: Homeward Bound’s mission is to prevent and end homelessness in our community through permanent housing and support. We have moved 2,250 individuals, families and veterans into homes, and 92% of them have not returned to homelessness. Through the national best practice of housing first, we are committed to moving people into housing as a first step, then wrapping them in supportive services to help stabilize their lives so they can stay in housing and improve their quality of life. Homeward Bound’s AHOPE Day Center is the front door to housing.
A matching gift challenge will match all donations up to $50,000, dollar for dollar, thanks to a generous donor.
All donors of $300 or more to Homeward Bound WNC will be entered into a drawing to win a basket full of Homeward Bound goodies.
My case manager helped me get stable. Knowing someone cared made a big difference and gave me confidence. Home means stability, security and peace. Having a home helped me develop boundaries, gave me an identity, self-worth and the ability to protect myself.
