WHAT THEY DO: Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville is a foster-based animal rescue whose mission is simple, but very important: connecting people with pets in need. Although we do not have a physical animal shelter, we have saved nearly 6,000 animals since our inception in late 2017. We pride ourselves on maximizing lifesaving efforts with minimal resources and plan on continuing to make a huge impact for the pets and people in our community.
Since I began fostering with Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville, I have had the immense privilege of helping 34 dogs find second chances at a better life. As an avid animal lover, this has been hugely rewarding for me, and I find joy in seeing these pups live happily ever after, especially the two I fell in love with and couldn’t let go.
