WHAT THEY DO: NAMI Western Carolina is an organization of families, friends and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. NAMI envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares. NAMI Western Carolina provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness around mental health. This is done through a combination of peer and family support groups, as well as education programming, all designed to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to provide a network of hope and healing.
All gifts, up to $1,000 total, will be matched dollar for dollar by a generous NAMI donor.
All contributions over $25 will be entered into a raffle for a self-care gift basket.
All contributions over $100 will be entered into a raffle for two tickets to The Biltmore Estate.
NAMI helped me learn more about what mental illnesses are, to learn
I was not alone, and has become a place where I share my experiences and learn methods to deal with difficult situations. I feel supported morally and psychologically, and the most important thing is that NAMI has helped me establish a balance in my daily life and has given me hope for a better tomorrow.
