WHAT THEY DO: RiverLink champions the environmental and economic vitality of the French Broad River and its watershed. Each year, we educate thousands of youths and adults about river ecosystems and water quality. We also take on stream restoration projects that reduce stormwater runoff and sediment pollution, and we work with landowners to voluntarily protect and conserve their watershed properties.

A lot of us are feeling strong emotions and looking for ways to take action after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Sixth Assessment Report on climate change was released in August 2021. Volunteering with RiverLink’s Adopt-A-Storm Drain program is a good way to get involved and help keep our rivers clean as flooding becomes more common with climate change.
